poqui

Terms of use

Version 1.0 · In force from FILL IN: publication date · Applies to the poqui iPhone app and to poqui.app

The short version

poqui is a tool for writing down what you spend. It is not a bank, not a broker, and not an adviser. You can use it free forever. If you pay, Apple takes the payment and Apple handles cancellations and refunds — not us. Nothing you log is sold to anyone.

Who you are agreeing with

poqui is made and operated by FILL IN: legal name, address, country, an individual developer in Italy. Contact: hello@poqui.app.

By installing or using poqui you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, delete the app — there is no account to close.

What poqui does, and what it does not do

poqui records amounts that you enter, by typing or by speaking. It never invents a number: if it cannot work out an amount, it stores the entry with the amount unknown rather than guessing one.

Some features are written by a language model — the one-line Pause response, the Weekly Letter, and Ask. These are generated from statistics calculated on your own phone from your own entries. They can still be wrong, clumsy, or unhelpful. Treat them as a prompt to think, not as a conclusion.

poqui is not financial advice. It is not regulated financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and nothing in it is a recommendation to buy or not buy anything. Decisions about your money are yours. If you need advice, speak to someone qualified to give it.

Subscriptions and payment

poqui is free to download and free to use. Paid plans unlock optional features. Current prices, shown including VAT where it applies:

Prices can differ by country and can change. The price shown in the App Store at the moment you buy is the price that applies. If we change the price of a plan you already hold, Apple asks you to agree before it takes effect.

Free trial

Yearly plans include a 7 day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, it becomes a paid subscription automatically. There is no trial on monthly plans and none on Lifetime.

Automatic renewal

Monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. Your Apple Account is charged within 24 hours of the period ending. Lifetime does not renew.

Cancelling

Cancel any time from your iPhone: Settings › your name › Subscriptions, or from inside poqui under Settings › Manage subscription. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep the paid features until the period you already paid for runs out. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Refunds

Apple is the merchant for every in-app purchase, so all refunds are handled by Apple under their terms, at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue a refund ourselves, though we will help you ask if something we did caused the problem — write to hello@poqui.app.

If you are a consumer in the EU you normally have a 14 day right of withdrawal on digital purchases. Because the content is made available immediately, that right may end once you start using the paid features. Apple applies this at the point of sale.

What happens if you stop paying

Nothing is deleted. Everything you have logged stays on your phone and stays readable. You return to the free limits — the paid features simply stop.

Using poqui sensibly

Please do not:

The AI features have monthly limits by plan. We may throttle or pause them if usage looks automated or abusive, and we will say so rather than failing silently.

Availability, changes and ending

poqui is offered as it is. We try to keep it working and correct, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of mistakes. Features can change, and features that depend on other companies (Apple, and the providers behind the AI features) can change or stop.

If we ever discontinue poqui we will say so in advance and make sure you can get your data out first. Your entries live on your phone, so they do not disappear when a server does.

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you in the app before it takes effect. Continuing to use poqui after that means you accept the new version.

Liability

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited under Italian or EU law — including your rights as a consumer, which these terms do not take away.

Beyond that: poqui is a notebook with arithmetic in it. We are not liable for financial decisions you make while using it, for money you spend or do not spend, or for indirect or consequential loss. Where liability can be limited, it is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the problem arose.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by Italian law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the law of the country you live in, and you can bring a claim in your own country's courts.

If something goes wrong, please write to us first — most things are settled in an email. EU consumers can also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.
