Support
Write to hello@poqui.app. One person reads that inbox and answers it, usually within a day or two. There is no account, so just tell us what happened and which iPhone you are on.
Sending a support ID
If your question is about a purchase, open poqui › Settings and copy the support ID at the bottom. It lets us find your subscription without knowing anything about what you have logged. It is not a password, but treat it as private — do not post it publicly.
How do I set up the Action Button?
This is the whole point of poqui, and it takes about thirty seconds. The Action Button is the one above the volume buttons on iPhone 15 Pro and every iPhone since.
- Open Settings on your iPhone, then Action Button.
- Swipe across the options until you reach Shortcut.
- Tap Choose a Shortcut…, pick poqui, then Log a spend.
- Press and hold the Action Button to test it. The log sheet should appear over whatever you were doing.
poqui cannot do this for you — Apple only allows you to assign the button yourself, which is also why no app can take it without you knowing.
My iPhone has no Action Button. What do I do?
Use Back Tap instead: two taps on the back of the phone. It works on iPhone 8 and later.
- In the Shortcuts app, tap +, search for poqui, add Log a spend, then tap Done.
- Open Settings › Accessibility › Touch › Back Tap.
- Tap Double Tap, scroll to Shortcuts, and choose Log a spend.
- Double-tap the back of your iPhone to test it.
You can also just say “Log a spend in poqui” to Siri, or open the app and tap the button.
Why does poqui ask for the microphone?
Only so you can say a spend out loud instead of typing it — “coffee three fifty”. You can refuse, and everything still works: the number pad does not need the microphone.
Where your iPhone supports on-device speech recognition, the words are turned into text on the phone. Where it does not, iOS sends the audio to Apple to transcribe, exactly as dictation does. We never record audio, never store it, and never send it to our own servers. This is set out in full in the privacy policy.
What happens to what I log?
It stays on your iPhone, in a database only poqui can read. There is no account, no sign-up, and no bank connection. We cannot see your spending, because it never reaches us.
The AI features are the exception, and a deliberately small one: to write the Pause line, the Weekly Letter or an Ask answer, poqui sends a compact set of numbers calculated on your phone — not your ledger, and not your entries. The privacy policy lists exactly which fields leave the device, and you can turn the cloud features off in Settings.
How do I delete my data?
Delete the app. Everything goes with it, because it was only ever on your phone. There is no server copy to ask us to erase.
If you have written to us by email, or if you used the AI features, see your rights in the privacy policy for the small amount we may hold and how to have it removed.
How do I cancel a subscription?
On your iPhone: Settings › your name › Subscriptions, pick poqui, then Cancel Subscription. Or from inside poqui: Settings › Manage subscription.
You keep the paid features until the period you already paid for ends. Nothing you logged is deleted — you simply return to the free limits. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
I paid, but poqui says I am on the free plan
Open poqui › Settings › Restore purchases, making sure you are signed in to the same Apple Account you bought with. That covers a new phone, a reinstall, or a purchase that did not register.
If it still says free, send us the support ID from that same screen and we will look it up.
I got a new iPhone. Does my history move across?
If you restored the new phone from an iCloud or computer backup, yes — poqui's data comes with the backup. If you set the phone up as new, it does not, because there is no copy on our side to sync from. Restore your purchase as above to get the paid features back.
poqui got the amount wrong
Tap the entry under Today to correct it. If it misheard you, the amount stays blank rather than being guessed — poqui will show ? instead of inventing a number, and you can type it.
If you find a phrase it consistently gets wrong, please tell us what you said and what it recorded. That is the most useful bug report we get.
Accessibility
poqui supports VoiceOver, Dynamic Type including the accessibility sizes, dark mode, and Reduce Motion — with Reduce Motion on, the breathing shape holds still instead of animating. Every gesture has a button that does the same thing.
If something is hard to use with assistive technology, please write to us. We treat that as a bug, not a request.
Still stuck
hello@poqui.app. Tell us your iPhone model and iOS version if you can — Settings › General › About has both.
